College

When this dude started throwing up and was unresponsive to my repeated attempts to wake him up--or even get him to make a sound--I hailed a van, carried him out to it, and had him taken to the hospital. The "carried him out to it" part was widely perceived as mildly heroic, if I may say so myself. Had to take off the tweed to do it.

I guess studying all that ethics is paying off.

Well done.

I'm glad to see you broke your "personal detachment" from the blog to self glorify your heroism.

But this is just what a summer camp friend thinks.

Did you really carry him? People are heavy. Maybe you dragged him a little bit. I'd be really impressed if you did the fireman over-the-shoulder thing.

Anyway, good work.

I did really carry him, but not over my shoulder. As you can see from the photo, he's not a very big dude. I just put my hands under his arm pits and picked him up from behind. (Didn't want him to throw up on me.)
